General Terms and Conditions for Accreditations

  1. Scope of Application

These General Terms and Conditions (“GTC”) apply to all accreditations issued by United World Wrestling (“UWW” or “Organiser”) for its events.

  2. Accreditation Issuance and Ownership

The accreditation card remains the property of UWW and must be returned upon request. The accreditation is personal, non-transferable, and must be used only by the accredited individual. The accredited individual must carry the accreditation with them anytime during the competition. If the accreditation is lost or stolen, the cost of reissuing is CHF 200.

  3. Revocation of Accreditation

UWW reserves the right to revoke the accreditation at its sole discretion at any time. Reasons for revocation may include, but are not limited to, violations of these GTC, misconduct, or any actions deemed inappropriate by UWW.

  4. Right to One's Own Image

By accepting the accreditation, the accredited individual agrees that UWW and its partners may capture, use, and distribute images and videos of the individual taken during the event for reporting, promotional, and other purposes related to the event. The accredited individual waives any rights to the images and videos, including any claims for compensation.

  5. Production Recordings

Without the prior written consent of the Organiser, accredited individuals are not permitted to record sound, images, descriptions or results of the event (except for private purposes) or to transmit or distribute them in whole or in part or to transmit or distribute them in whole or in part via the Internet or other media (including mobile phones) or support other persons in such activities. Devices or equipment that may be used for such activities may not be brought into the arena/hall without the prior consent of the Organiser. Photos and images taken by accredited individuals at a game may only be used for private purposes. Any commercial use, regardless of the manner and by whom, requires the prior written consent of UWW. Any breach of the above-mentioned obligations shall result in the revocation of the accreditation.

  6. Liability

UWW is liable only for damages caused by intentional or grossly negligent conduct of its employees or agents. For slight negligence, UWW is liable only for breaches of essential contractual obligations (cardinal obligations). In such cases, liability is limited to foreseeable, contract-typical damages. Any further liability is excluded.

  7. Conduct and Compliance

Accredited individuals must comply with all rules, regulations, and instructions issued by UWW. Any breach of these rules may result in the immediate revocation of the accreditation and removal from the event premises.

  8. Data Protection

Personal data collected during the accreditation process will be processed in accordance with applicable data protection laws. For more information, please refer to UWW's privacy policy.

  9. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These GTC are governed by the laws of Switzerland. Any disputes arising from or in connection with these GTC shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Lausanne, Switzerland.

  10. Severability Clause

Should any provision of these GTC be or become invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions shall not be affected. The invalid provision shall be replaced by a valid one that comes closest to the economic intent of the invalid provision.
