Wrestling is a global sport and receives huge popularity in countries such as the United States, Russia, Japan, India, China, Iran, Kazakhstan and Turkey. In 2019, the Senior World Championships was broadcasted in more than 150 countries, and this number keeps growing. Hosting a wrestling event provides a great opportunity to showcase the city on a worldwide platform and connect with specific target markets.
United World Wrestling’s aim is for its events to positively contribute to host cities and to assist the host to achieve its own objectives.
