Lalovic a Guest Speaker at World Festival of Youth and Students

SOCHI (October 20) – United World Wrestling president Nenad Lalovic was an invited guest speaker at the 2017 World Festival of Youth and Students this week in Sochi. His attendance was coordinated with the assistance of Georgy Bruysov, Chairman of the United World Wrestling “Sport for All” Commission.

The WFYS is celebrating its 70th year and 19th festival, with the last being held in Quito in 2013. The festival brings together more than 20,000 students and youth from 185 nations to discuss a wide array of topics. Lalovic, was on hand to discuss the role sports could play in creating a peaceful and harmonious society.

“I welcome the opportunity to speak with young people around the world about the virtue of sport,” said Lalovic. “We want to make sure that the next generation is engaging in discussion with each other and finding ways to cooperate on and off the field or mat.”

The Festival began on October 13 and will conclude on October 22
