BIOGRAPHY
Suleyman ATLI (TUR) qualified for his second Olympic Games after winning a silver medal at the 2019 World Championships in Nursultan. After finishing 16th in Rio, losing to Ivan GUIDEA of Romania in the first round, Atli has been on the rise. He won a bronze medal at the 2018 World Championships and also his first of the two European Championships titles in 2019. Born in Aydin, Turkey, the 27-year-old will be entering the Games as the European champion which he won in Warsaw, Poland. A former junior world champion, Atli has been one of the most consistent wrestlers in the Olympic cycle leading up to Tokyo. For that, he will be seeded third behind Stevan MICIC of Serbia and Zaur UGUEV of Russia.
