Guennichi is a four-time African championships medalist and finished in second place in ‘20 and third place in ‘17, ‘18 and ‘19. The 22-year-old won a silver medal at the ‘19 All-African Games. Most recently, he won a bronze medal at June’s Vehbi Emre & Hamit Kaplan Tournament in Istanbul, Turkey. The Tokyo Olympic Games will be Guennichi’s 13th senior-level competition.
