Merabet won two matches at the ‘21 Africa and Oceania Olympic Qualifier and punched his ticket to the Tokyo Olympic Games after finishing in second place. He also finished in second place at the ‘20 African Championships and has a bronze medal finish at the ‘19 All-African Games. The Tokyo Olympic Games will be the 21-year-old’s sixth senior-level competition.
