UWW LIVE: Aleksandr KARELIN: Three-Time Olympic Champion, Nine-Time World Champion

By United World Wrestling Press

No wrestler has dominated the sport of Greco-Roman wrestling like Aleksandr KARELIN (RUS).

The "Russian Bear" had an unrivaled 13-year unbeaten streak in international wrestling competition and went six consecutive years without surrendering a point. He never lost a match at the world championships. Karelin claimed eight of his nine world titles during the 1990's, along with two of his three Olympic titles and nine of his 12 European titles. United World Wrestling named Karelin the greatest Greco-Roman wrestler of the 20th century.

Karelin joined Eric Olanowski to talk about his path to becoming arguably the greatest wrestler of all time. He also spoke about which Olympic gold was the most difficult to win, his career as a Russian politician, and how he surprisingly managed to avoid getting cauliflower ear.
