CORSIER-SUR-VEVEY (February 24) – United World Wrestling has announced a live video streaming deal with provider FloWrestling for the upcoming Pan American Championships (February 26-27) and Pan American Olympic Qualifiers (March 4-5).

The streaming deal is among the first of its kind for an international sports federation and speaks to the modernization necessary to stay relevant in a changing media landscape.

“This deal is part of wrestling’s ongoing dedication to modernization,” said United World Wrestling president Nenad Lalovic. “FloWrestling has been innovative in their approach to delivering online video streaming to wrestling fans around the world. We are looking forward to their work and expect to see great results.”

Since 2013, United World Wrestling has paid to provide free online streaming of matches from more than 40 tournaments around the world. With the new agreement, FloWrestling will expand on that service by providing multiple HD cameras, supplemental IT solutions, and coordination with existing coaching education platforms like Dartfish.

FloWrestling is a subscription-based site. Wrestling fans in several Pan American countries will be asked to pay a monthly or annual fee to watch the Championships and Olympic Qualifier live at www.UnitedWorldWrestling.TV. Existing FloPRO subscribers on FloWrestling.com will have access to the live stream as well.

Matches from the tournaments will be posted online free-of-charge approximately one week after the conclusion of the event.
