For the first time in its 22-year history, Iran’s cadet-level freestyle and Greco-Roman teams captured world titles at the 2018 Cadet World Championships.
The Iranian federation held a ceremony that was attended by world and Olympic champion Hassan YAZDANI and other famous Iranian champions to award cash prizes and cars to the gold medal winners.
Other special guests in attendance included Reza SALARI, a young wrestler who suffered a spinal cord injury last year during a competition.
Gold medalists received a car and 1000 euros, silver medal winners were awarded seven gold coins and 500 euros, and bronze medalists were given five gold coins and 300 euros.
