A veteran for Poland, Roksana ZASINA qualified for the Tokyo Olympics after finishing fifth at the 2019 World Championships in Nursultan. She injured herself before the bronze medal bout and did not compete. In regular competition, she lost to PAK Yong-Mi of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea in the Round-of-16. A European champion in 2013, Zasina won a silver medal at the European Games in 2015 in Baku, Azerbaijan. After a long wait, she won her first Senior Worlds medal in 2017 when she claimed a bronze medal in Paris. She also won a silver medal at the 2020 Individual World Cup. Zasina did try to qualify for the London and Rio Games but failed, making Tokyo her first Olympics.
