About Balint
A world champion and two-time silver medalist, Balint KORPASI (HUN) dropped down a weight category to wrestle at 67kg at the European Qualifiers in his home country. Five years after winning the world title in Budapest, he won the Tokyo Olympic spot as well in the same city. The 2017 European champion defeated Donior ISLAMOV (MDA) in the semifinal of the European Qualifiers to win the quota. This will be the first Olympics for the Hungary veteran, who also won the 2020 Individual World Cup gold medal.
