Hancock is a rising star and one of the youngest Olympians for the United States at 24 years old. He earned a bronze medal at the ’16 Junior World Championships and has competed at several other World Championships, including the ’17, ’18 and ’19 Senior World Championships. Hancock is a ’20 Pan American champion and multiple-time medalist, winning silvers at the ’19 Pan American Championships and ’19 Pan American Games as well as a bronze at the ’17 Pan Ams. He qualified the U.S. for Tokyo at 97 kg with a silver-medal finish at the Pan American Olympic Qualifier. He has competed at five Ranking Series events over the last few years, claiming medals in each appearance, highlighted by gold medals from the ’18 Wladyslaw Pytlasinski Cup and ’19 Grand Prix of Hungary. He enters Tokyo ranked No. 7 in the world.
