Sghaier made her first senior-level appearance in early 2020 at the African Championships and claimed gold on the same day when she won a junior African gold medal. The 19-year-old qualified for the Olympic Games with a second-round win over Amy YOUIN (CIV) and a silver-medal finish at the Africa and Oceania Olympic Qualifier.
