Vasyl Mykhailov (UKR) had a heartbreaking World Championships in 2019 as he lost to Zelimkhan KHADJIEV (FRA) in the quarterfinals, one win away from qualifying for the Olympics. He then participated in the World Qualifiers in Sofia and finished in two top places to achieve his dream to compete at the Games for the first time. He won a bronze medal at the 2020 Individual World Cup.
