The wrestler of the European Qualifiers. On his way to winning the tournament, Vazgen TEVANYAN (ARM) defeated Vladimir DUBOV (BUL), Niurgun SKRIABIN (BLR), Vladimir KHINCHEGASHVILI (GEO), Magomedmurad GADZHIEV (POL) and Haji ALIYEV (AZE). He will be wrestling at his first Olympics in Tokyo. Born in Ararat Plain, Armenia, Tevanyan won the gold at the 2020 Individual World Cup in Belgrade, Serbia, defeating Iszmail MUSZUKAJEV (HUN). He has won the European title at cadet, junior and U23 level as well.
