Tetyana KIT (UKR) will be making her debut at the Olympics after Ukraine picked her over Alina HRUSHYNA (UKR). Making a comeback after a knee injury, Kit defeated Olympic champion Helen MAROULIS (USA) at the Poland Open. She is a bronze medalist from 2015 World Championships at 55kg. She did not participate in the 2019 Worlds due to the injury and Ukraine were left without qualification at the weight. But U23 European champion Hrushyna finished top two at European Qualifiers in Budapest to win the spot. Kit placed seventh at the Individual World Cup in Belgrade, Serbia.
