BIOGRAPHY
Olga KHOROSHAVTSEVA (RUS) was one of three Russian women wrestlers who qualified for the Games at the World Olympic Qualifiers in Sofia, Bulgaria. Born in Krasnoyarsk, Russia, she trained at the famous Mindashvili Wrestling Academy and came to light when she won the gold medal at the prestigious Ivan Yarygin Tournament in 2015. Since then she had moved to the 57kg weight category until dropping down to 55kg in which she won the bronze medal at the World Championships in 2019. But come 2021, she dropped further down to 53kg for the World Qualifiers where she beat Ana BEATRICE of Romania to win the gold. Apart from being a two-time Ivan Yarygin champion, she is also a two-time European champion.
