Elis MANOLOVA (AZE) qualified for her first Olympics by winning the silver medal at the World Olympic Qualifiers. She defeated Zhamila BAKBERGENOVA (KAZ) in the semifinal to confirm her ticket. She first tried to win the quota at the European Qualifiers but lost to Khanum VELIEVA of Russia in the semifinal. A junior and U23 Worlds medalist, Manolova was a bronze medalist at the senior Worlds in 2019 at 65kg. She tried to qualify for the Rio Olympics as well but had failed to do so.
