It was in 2020 that Magomedkhabib KADIMAGOMEDOV (BLR) received citizenship of Belarus and competed for them. Until then, he used to wrestle for Russia. Born in Khushtada in Tsumadinsky district of Dagestan, Russia, he is a European champion at 79kg in 2020. At the World Qualifiers, he defeated Tajmuraz SALKAZANOV (SVK) in the semifinal to win the ticket to Tokyo. On his way to the final, he also defeated Arsalan BUDAZHAPOV (KGZ), Mihail SAVA (MDA) and Soner DEMITRAS (TUR). He was a national champion in Russia at 70kg.
