Koumba LARROQUE (FRA) will be going to Tokyo as the European champion. The young French star is a cadet, junior and U23 world champion and a two-time Senior Worlds medalist -- including a silver in 2018. After a disappointing 2019 Worlds in which she finished 10th, Larroque has regained her form and qualified for her first Games by winning the European Qualifiers. In June, she won the gold medal at Poland Open as well and with her performances, she will be seeded third at the Tokyo Games. Like her father, she serves the French Army and trains at INSEP, Paris. Her father was posted in Mali where he met Larroque's mother and married her.
