Iryna KOLIADENKO (UKR) won the bronze medal twice at the U23 World Championships in 2018 and 2019. She wrestled at 65kg at the World Championships in 2019 and won a silver medal. But she dropped down to 62kg for the European Qualifiers and won the tournament to qualify for Ukraine. She defeated Rio silver medalist Maryia MAMASHUK of Belarus in the quarterfinal before winning against Mariana CHERDIVARA of Moldova in the semifinal. In the final, she beat Anastasija GRIGORJEVA (LAT). She will be wrestling at her first Olympic Games in Tokyo. Born in Irpin, she won the gold medal at the European Championship in 2021, defeating Marianna SASTIN of Hungary in the final.
