Evin DEMIRHAN, a bronze medalist at the 2017 World Championships in Paris, qualified for the Tokyo Games at the European Olympic Qualifiers in Budapest, Hungary by reaching the final. She participated in the 2019 World Championships in a bid to qualify but lost to Valentina ISLAMOVA-BRIK of Kazakhstan in the quarterfinals. Born in Skirt, Turkey, Demirhan battled poverty and a large family to reach the top. She received a scholarship from the Turkish Wrestling Foundation. At the European Games in Minsk in 2019, she won a bronze medal for Turkey. Her life has been documented in an 89-minute documentary named Know My Name (Siirt'in Sırrı). She will be taking her maiden trip to the Games.
