Lost in 2nd round by fall to Viktor LORINCZ (HUN), then beat Junjie NA (CHN) 6-1 in 2nd repechage match to clinch top-6 position. Lost 6-2 in bronze-medal match to Rustam ASSAKALOV (UZB)...In 2021, silver medalist for 3rd time at Asian Championships, and bronze medalist at Istanbul tournament. Lost to Iranians at both events, although 87kg is lone Greco weight class in which Iran did not qualify for Tokyo Olympics...Previous Asian silver medals came in 2018 in home country, losing 5-2 in 82kg final to Ashkat DILMUKHAMEDOV (KAZ), and 2015 in Doha with loss by fall to London 2012 Olympic champion Hyeonwoo KIM (KOR)...World cadet bronze medalist in 2012...Eldest of 4 siblings, father is a farmer and mother a primary school teacher.
