The Tokyo Olympics will be Fergat’s trip to The Games and will be his 18th appearance on the senior level. During his previous 17 appearances, he’s won four gold medals. Those came at the ‘17, ‘18 and ‘19 African Championships and ‘18 Mediterranean Championships. The 27-year-old has a trio of top-five finishes at Ranking Series events. He claimed bronze at the ‘18 Hungarian Grand Prix and finished in fourth and fifth at the ‘19 Hungarian Grand Prix and ‘20 Poland Open, respectively. He also finished with silver medals at the ‘21 Africa and Oceania Olympic Qualifier, ‘18 Ion Corneanu & Ladislau Simon Memorial and the ‘15 Arab Championships, and bronze medals at the ‘20 Individual World Cup and ‘19 Henri Deglane.
