During the month of January, Belau Wrestling Federation (BWF) in coordination with the Ministry of Education (MOE) conducted wrestling activities as a part of our outreach program to a number of schools to include Melekeok Elementary School (MES), Koror Elementary School (KES), Aimeliik Elementary School (AES) and Ngarchelong Elementary School (NES).

At the High School level, Emmaus High School continued from last semester to include wrestling as a part of their PE program.

Since the beginning, the approach has been very simple, to inspire every student to have fun and to deliver a healthy program through fitness for all. As to date, many students have been able to exposed to wrestling and are learning new things from activities like stretching, rolling, drills, games, conditioning and other such exercises related to the sport.

With the help of the PE teachers and staff from the schools, the organization has been able to team up coaches from BWF and deliver this new program. The plan is to expand the reach of the program and one day see wrestling develop and expand in all the schools.
