Evelin RUSEV Banned Four Year for Anti-Doping Violation

CORSIER-SUR-VEVEY (February 27) – United World Wrestling has informed Bulgarian freestyle wrestler Evelin RUSEV that his A samples from an anti-doping test have come back positive. United World Wrestling administered the tests October 28, 2016 at the Martyrs Cup in Tehran (IRI).

Rusev indicated the presence of drostanolone metabolite; Methandienone metabolite and stanozolol metabolite; all these substances are included in the list of prohibited products.

In accordance with the United World Wrestling anti-doping rules, Rusev had his case seen by a sporting judge who rendered a 4-year period of ineligibility starting from 1 December 2016 until 30 November 2020.
