BUDAPEST (December 11) – Deuces were wild in Budapest on Sunday evening as Magomed KURBANALIEV (RUS) made his second trip to the Hungarian capital golden, and Ramazan ABACHARAEV (RUS) added a second gold medal for Russia in the evening’s world championships finale.

Kurbanaliev returned to Budapest three years after earning a bronze medal at the 2013 world meet here and grabbed his first world championship title with an 8-4 victory over Nurlan BEKZHANOV (KAZ) in the freestyle final at 70kg.

Kurbanaliev opened the gold medal match with a 4-point go-behind to gut wrench combination, but needed a step-out point and second-period takedown to secure his victory at Syma Csarnok event center.

Abacharaev, a winner at the prestigious Ivan Poddubny tourney in January, followed a go-behind takedown early in the second period of the 80kg Greco-Roman final to close the championships with a 3-1 victory over European bronze medalist Aslan ATEM (TUR).

Abacharaev’s triumph made Russia the only country at the championships to win more than one gold medal as China, Japan, the United States, and host Hungary divvied up the other four titles.

In all, nine countries shared in the 12 gold and silver medals on offer in this special world championships for weight categories not contested at this summer’s Rio 2016 Olympic Games.

In the women’s wrestling final at 60kg, junior world bronze medalist PEI Xingru (CHN) rolled to a 6-0 win over 2015 Golden Grand Prix Final runner-up Allison RAGAN (USA) to secure her first senior world crown.

Pei’s triumph was the first wrestling world title for China since SUN Yanan (CHN) and ZHANG Fengliu (CHN) won titles at the 2013 world meet in Budapest.

In the women’s bronze medal finals, hometown favorite Emese BARKA (HUN) rallied for seven points in the second period to claim a 7-4  triumph over Yui SAKANO (JPN) for her second world bronze medal -- after a similar performance at Budapest 2013.

در مسابقه رده بندی زنان نیز امس بارکا از مجارستان با هفت امتیازی که در وقت دوم بدست آرود برابر یوی ساکانو از ژاپن به برتری 7 بر 4 رسید تا به دومین مدال برنز جهانی اش پس از مسابقات 2013 بوداپست دست یافته باشد.
