About Tamyra Mariama

Mensah-Stock enters the Tokyo Games as the reigning World champion and No. 1 seed at 68 kg. She is also an ’18 World bronze medalist. Since the start of 2019, she has won gold at all but international tournament, which included Rankings Series wins at ’19 Ivan Yariguin, ’19 Dan Kolov, ’19 City of Sassari Tournament and ’21 Matteo Pellicone. In ’19, Mensah-Stock became the first U.S. wrestler to win three-straight Yariguin titles. Additionally, she has excelled on the continental level, winning three Pan American Championships gold medals (’20, ’21) as well as the ’19 Pan Am Games title. In addition to claiming titles at the Matteo Pellicone and Pan Am Championships this season, Mensah-Stock also won her bracket at the Henri Deglane Grand Prix. She trains at the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Training Center in Colorado. She is married to Jacob Stock.
