The Olympic Games will be Mahmoud’s tenth international senior-level competition. He’s reached the top of the podium four times. The 29-year-old won gold at the ‘21 Africa and Oceania Olympic Qualifier, African Championships in ‘19 and ‘20 and the ‘19 All-African Games. He also has a pair of top-ten finishes at Ranking Series events. He finished in sixth place at the ‘21 Poland Open and in seventh place at the ‘19 Dan Kolov. In addition, he competed at the ‘19 World Championships, where he finished in 19th place.
