About Miglena Georgieva
Miglena SELISHKA (BUL) will represent Bulgaria in Tokyo after qualifying by winning the European Qualifiers. After success at the age-group level, she replicated it at the senior level by winning the European Championships in 2020. The gold was sandwiched between two silver medals at the same event. At the 2019 World Championships, she lost her first bout to Ekaterina POLESCHUK of Russia 9-9 on criteria and exited the tournament. At the Individual World Cup in 2020, she won a bronze medal. Once again, she lost to Poleschuk 2-2 on criteria in the semifinal. This will be her first Olympics.
