Fumitas won 2nd world title in 2019 to secure Olympic spot. In final, was losing 0-5 to defending champion Sergey EMELIN (RUS) when he stormed back to win 10-5. Previous world gold came in 2017....Was teammate and rival of Rio 2016 silver medalist Shinobu OTA at Nippon Sports Science University.
