Zushen LIN (CHN) earned place in 1st Olympics with stunning come-from-behind 8-7 victory over two-time Olympian Sohsuke TAKATANI (JPN) in semifinals of Asian Olympic qualifying tournament, rallying from 1-6 deficit and scoring winning takedown with 23 seconds left. Lost 7-3 in final to Javrail SHAPIEV (UZB). At 2019 World Championships, lost 2-1 to Yurieski TORREBLANCA (CUB) in qualification round....Lone international title came at 2019 Baikal Cup with victory over Gankhuyag GANBAATAR (MGL) in final...Bronze medalist at 92kg at 2018 Asian Championships. Lost 7-2 in semifinals to Mohammad EBRAHIMIZIVLAEI (IRI), beat Changjae SUE (KOR) 2-1 for bronze. Finished 8th in 2019 and 9th in 2017 (both at 86kg) with losses in opening matches to Indian opponents....Lost in 1st round in two previous appearances at World Championships in 2018 and 2014 (at 74kg)...First wrestler from Baise to make Olympic team.
