Classement de fin d'année de la lutte féminine

CORSIER-SUR-VEVEY (9 novembre) -- Alors que la saison de classement touche à sa fin avec les Championnats du monde de Belgrade, les lutteurs ont réussi à modifier leur classement en fonction des points uniquement obtenus en 2022.

Les performances aux championnats mondiaux et continentaux seniors, aux quatre événements de série de classement et aux Jeux sélectifs, les lutteurs ayant le plus de participation et de médailles ont été récompensés à la fin de l'année.

Voici les nouveaux classements après les championnats du monde senior avec les points des tournois 2022 uniquement.

1. Otgonjargal DOLGORJAV (MGL) - $5000

Otgonjargal DOLGORJAV (MGL) prend la première place chez les 50 kg grâce à sa médaille d'argent aux Championnats du monde. En 2022, la Mongole a également remporté des médailles de bronze lors de deux événements de série de classement. Ces trois médailles lui ont rapporté 52400 points.

Elle a 400 de plus que la médaillée de bronze mondiale Sarah HILDEBRANDT (USA) qui est classée deuxième au monde pour ses médailles aux Championnats du monde, aux Championnats panaméricains et à l'épreuve de la série de classement à Tunis.

Hildebrandt a obtenu 13000 points pour son or aux Pan-Am, 8000 points pour le Zouhaier Sghaier et 31000 points pour le bronze aux Mondiaux. Cependant, Dolgorjav a obtenu 10200 et 5200 points pour ses médailles de bronze au Yasar Dogu et à la Bolat Turlykhanov Cup respectivement. Sa plus grande collection a été obtenue aux Championnats du monde, puisque la médaille d'argent valait 37 000 points, ce qui la plaçait devant Hildebrandt.

La troisième place revient à Anna LUKASIAK (POL), la deuxième médaillée de bronze des Championnats du monde. Les 31000 points ainsi que les 6500 points des Championnats d'Europe, 7800 points du Yasar Dogu et 5200 points du Matteo Pellicone.

La championne du monde Yui SUSAKI (JPN) arrive en quatrième position avec 45 000 points, tous collectés pour son or à Belgrade. Elle n'a participé qu'à une seule épreuve en 2022.

Dominique PARRISH (USA) n'est pas seulement devenue championne du monde pour sa première apparition, elle terminera la saison comme la lutteuse la mieux classée chez les 53kg, empochant 5000$ pour son exploit.

Participant à quatre événements qui offraient des points de classement, Parrish a commencé par le Yasar Dogu à Istanbul, remportant le bronze pour 10200 points. Elle a ensuite ajouté le titre panaméricain à sa collection pour un autre 13000 points. Elle n'a pas remporté de médaille à la Zouhaier Sghaier Cup mais a tout de même obtenu 4640 points. En septembre, son parcours jusqu'à l'or aux Championnats du monde lui a permis de décrocher la première place avec 45000 points.

Maria PREVOLARAKI (GRE) n'a jamais été proche de battre Parrish pour la place de numéro un et a terminé deuxième. Elle a commencé la saison avec une médaille d'argent aux Championnats d'Europe pour gagner 8000 points avant de remporter l'or aux Jeux méditerranéens pour un autre 8000 points. C'est son bronze aux Championnats du monde qui lui a valu 31000 points, portant son total à 47000 points.

Deux médailles d'argent en 2022 ont suffi à Khulan BATKHUYAG (MGL) pour obtenir 45000 points et la troisième place. Elle a remporté sa première médaille d'argent aux Championnats d'Asie pour 8000 points avant de terminer avec une couleur similaire aux Championnats du monde pour 37000 points.

Cela ne pouvait pas être plus serré que cela. Mayu SHIDOCHI (JPN) et Oleksandra KHOMENETS (UKR) ont toutes deux terminé avec 45 000 points, mais c'est l'or de la première aux Championnats du monde qui lui a permis de devancer Khomenets, qui a remporté l'argent à Belgrade.

Tous les points de Shidochi proviennent des Championnats du monde, tandis que Khomenets a obtenu 37 000 points pour sa médaille d'argent. Les 8000 autres points sont pour la médaille d'argent qu'elle a gagnée aux Championnats d'Europe.

La troisième place est occupée par Jacarra WINCHESTER (États-Unis), qui n'a manqué la première place que de 1000 points. Finissant avec 44000 points, Winchester les a obtenus lors de trois événements différents en 2022. La première a eu lieu à Istanbul où elle a remporté l'or pour 11000 points avant de décrocher l'argent aux Championnats panaméricains pour 8000 points.

Elle a terminé cinquième aux Championnats du monde avec un genou blessé, mais a tout de même réussi à obtenir 25 000 points pour atteindre la troisième place au classement.

La championne du monde et d'Asie Tsugumi SAKURAI (JPN) a décroché la première place avec ses deux médailles d'or de 2022. Elle a reçu 10000 points pour l'or en Mongolie, puis 45000 lorsqu'elle est devenue championne du monde en 57kg devant Helen MAROULIS (USA).

Alina HRUSHYNA (UKR) a terminé deuxième dans la catégorie des 57 kg avec 49 000 points. Elle a remporté des médailles d'or aux Championnats d'Europe et au Matteo Pellicone pour un total combiné de 18000 points. En septembre, elle a ajouté un bronze mondial à son nom pour 31000 points et la deuxième place au classement.

Une autre médaillée de bronze mondiale, Anhelina LYSAK (POL), a terminé troisième avec 45000 points. Son bronze à Belgrade était la seule médaille de 2022, mais elle a terminé cinquième à Istanbul et aux Championnats d'Europe, ce qui lui a permis d'obtenir 14 000 points. Elle a obtenu 9000 points pour l'épreuve du Yasar Dogu et 5000 points pour les Euros. 31 000 points ont été ajoutés lorsqu'elle a remporté le bronze aux Championnats du monde.

Anastasia NICHITA (MDA) est peut-être là depuis longtemps mais elle a remporté son premier titre mondial senior à Belgrade. Ses trois médailles d'or en 2022 lui ont ouvert la voie pour devenir la meilleure lutteuse des 59 kg avec 64 000 points. Elle a obtenu 45 000 points pour sa médaille d'or à Belgrade, qui s'ajoutent à ses 100 000 points des Championnats d'Europe et aux 11 000 points du Yasar Dogu.

Jowita WRZESIEN (POL) est passée à la deuxième place avec 51600 points après le bronze aux Championnats du monde. Elle a participé à quatre épreuves pour obtenir des points de classement et a remporté des médailles à chacune d'entre elles. Elle a commencé la saison avec le bronze à Istanbul, ce qui lui a valu 8200 points. L'argent aux Championnats d'Europe lui a rapporté 8000 points avant qu'une autre médaille d'argent, au Matteo Pellicone, n'ajoute 6400 points à son total.

La lutteuse qui a remporté l'or au Matteo Pellicone est Grace BULLEN (NOR) qui a ensuite atteint la finale des Championnats du monde, ce qui lui a permis de terminer troisième dans cette catégorie de poids. Elle a obtenu 37000 points pour son argent à Belgrade et 8000 points pour l'or à Rome.

Nonoka OZAKI (JPN) est sortie indemne de l'édition 2022 et a obtenu le titre de championne du monde des 62 kg. La star japonaise de 20 ans a réalisé une série de 16 victoires et a remporté des médailles d'or aux championnats du monde U20, U23 et senior. Bien qu'elle ait remporté trois titres mondiaux et cinq compétitions au cours de sa campagne 2022, ses titres asiatiques et de Belgrade sont les deux seules compétitions qui ont compté pour son total de 55 000 points.

La médaillée d'argent des championnats du monde Kayla MIRACLE (USA) a terminé la saison en se classant deuxième au monde chez les 62 kg avec 45 000 points. Cette saison, l'Américaine n'a perdu que deux matches et a remporté des médailles d'argent aux Championnats panaméricains et mondiaux. Elle s'est inclinée face à Ozaki, la mieux classée, lors de la finale mondiale et à Ana GODINEZ GONZALEZ (CAN), mais a pris sa revanche sur sa défaite d'Acapulco en se rendant à la finale mondiale de Belgrade.

Ilona PROKOPEVNIUK (UKR) a réalisé une saison impressionnante, remportant des médailles aux Championnats du monde et d'Europe ainsi qu'à l'événement Matteo Pellicone Ranking Series. Elle a obtenu la troisième place au classement avec 43 900 points, soit 1 100 points de moins que la deuxième place occupée par Miracle.

Dans l'une des courses les plus serrées pour la première place du classement, Miwa MORIKAWA (JPN) a surclassé Elis MANOLOVA (AZE) de 1 400 points pour s'emparer de la première place chez les 65 kg.

Morikawa a dépassé Manolova en remportant des médailles d'or aux Championnats d'Asie et du monde. Bien que cela n'ait pas été pris en compte dans son classement pour 2022, la jeune femme de 23 ans a également remporté une médaille d'or en Espagne lors des Championnats du monde U23.

Manolova a terminé dans le top cinq des quatre compétitions auxquelles elle a participé, remportant des médailles d'argent aux Championnats d'Europe et à la Bolat Turlykhanov Cup et terminant à la cinquième place aux Championnats du monde et au Yasar Dogu. Si l'Azérie de 26 ans avait terminé avec une médaille aux Championnats du monde ou au Yasar Dogu, elle aurait terminé l'année au premier rang mondial.

Mallory VELTE (USA) a terminé la saison comme lutteuse classée troisième chez les 65kg. Après avoir ouvert la saison à Istanbul avec une médaille d'argent, elle a clôturé la saison avec une médaille de bronze à Belgrade lors des Championnats du monde.

La lutte pour la première place chez les 68 kg s'est jouée entre les autres championnes du monde Tamyra STOCK MENSAH (USA) et Irina RINGACI (MDA).

Mensah a atteint le sommet du podium mondial pour la deuxième fois depuis 2019 et a terminé avec 1 600 points d'avance sur la championne du monde de 2021, Ringaci, pour le meilleur classement de la catégorie de poids. Bien qu'elle ait participé à une épreuve de moins, les ors de Mensah-Stock aux Championnats du monde et aux épreuves du Zouhaier Sghaier Ranking Series ont éclipsé le bronze mondial, l'or européen et l'argent du Matteo Pellicone de Ringaci.

Mensah a terminé l'année 2022 avec 49000 points tandis que Ringaci en avait 47400.

Ami ISHII (JPN) complète le trio de tête du classement avec 37 000 points après avoir terminé avec une médaille d'argent aux Championnats du monde.

Zhamila BAKBERGENOVA (KAZ) a connu la saison la plus complète de toutes les lutteuses du monde. Sa campagne de 2022 a été marquée par une série de 13 victoires consécutives et par des médailles d'or aux Championnats d'Asie, à la Coupe Yasar Dogu et à la Coupe Bolat Turlykhanov, avant de se contenter d'une médaille d'argent aux Championnats du monde. Elle a terminé la saison avec 52 000 points, soit 9 000 points d'avance sur Amit ELOR (USA), deuxième au classement.

Elor a connu une saison dont on parlera pendant des années. La superstar en herbe de 19 ans a remporté un trio de titres mondiaux en l'espace de trois mois et s'est hissée à la troisième place du classement. Elle a remporté des médailles d'or aux championnats du monde U20, U23 et senior.

Buse TOSUN CAVUSOGLU (TUR) a été médaillée dans trois des cinq événements auxquels elle a participé cette saison et a terminé classée troisième chez les 72 kg. Elle a commencé la saison par une cinquième place au Yasar Dogu avant de décrocher des médailles consécutives aux Championnats d'Europe, aux XIXe Jeux méditerranéens et au Zouhaier Sghaier Ranking Series, avant de terminer l'année par une cinquième place mondiale.

Samar HAMZA (EGY) est entrée dans l'histoire en devenant la première lutteuse égyptienne à atteindre la finale mondiale et a terminé la saison en tête du classement mondial des 76 kg.

Hamza a lutté six fois en 2022 et a obtenu des médailles dans cinq épreuves. Après avoir fait 1-1 et terminé neuvième au Yasar Dogu, l'Égyptienne de 26 ans s'est lancée dans une course aux médailles en cinq compétitions. Elle s'est emparée du titre africain pour la cinquième fois de sa carrière, de médailles d'argent aux Championnats du monde et à l'épreuve de la Coupe Bolat Turlykhanov Ranking Series, et de médailles de bronze aux Jeux méditerranéens et à l'épreuve du Zouhaier Sghaier Ranking Series.

Au cours d'une année où elle a pris les rênes de la Fédération turque en tant que Vice-Présidente, Yasemin ADAR (TUR) a tout de même réussi à terminer la saison au deuxième rang mondial des 76kg. Elle a terminé la saison avec un bilan parfait de 10-0 grâce à ses médailles d'or aux Championnats du monde et d'Europe et aux Jeux méditerranéens.

Epp MAE (EST) a remporté une médaille de bronze aux Championnats du monde et une médaille d'argent aux Championnats européens et a terminé la saison en troisième position.

UWW publie les derniers classements de lutte libre

CORSIER-SUR-VEVEY, Suisse (20 mars) -- Après deux événements de la Ranking Series, United World Wrestling a publié le dernier classement en lutte libre. Bien qu'il y ait eu quelques changements dans la première place, un mouvement considérable a été observé dans le top 10..

Les derniers classements seront cruciaux pour déterminer les quatre premières têtes de série des championnats continentaux qui débuteront par les Championnats d'Asie le 9 avril suivis des Championnats d'Europe le même mois. Les championnats panaméricains et les championnats d'Afrique auront lieu en mai.

Les points de classement pris en compte sont ceux des Championnats du Monde et des deux épreuves Ranking Series. Voici une ventilation des classements:

57kg

La catégorie de poids continue d'être titrée par le champion du monde Zelimkhan ABAKAROV (ALB) qui a 45 000 points, tous issus de la médaille d'or à Belgrade. Il est suivi de Thomas GILMAN (USA) avec 37000 points pour son argent.

Précédemment numéro trois, Zanabazar ZANDANBUD (MGL) a été poussé à la quatrième place par Wanhao ZOU (CHN). Il a 35555 points sur les 31000 points de Zandanbud. Zou a récolté 5480 points à Zagreb et 5075 points à Alexandrie pour passer à la troisième place.

Darian CRUZ (PUR) a été le prochain grand sauteur à passer de la neuvième à la sixième place après sa huitième place à Zagreb pour 6200 points et 5100 points pour sa 12e place en Egypte.

Beka BUJIASHVILI (GEO), qui a commencé l'année à la 12e place, est remonté à la huitième place avec 23880 points, grâce à sa médaille de bronze à Zagreb et sa 10e place à Alexandrie. Aliabbas RZAZADE cumule également 18400 points et passe de la 13ème à la 9ème place du classement.

61kg

Reza ATRI (IRI), a silver medalist from World Championships, began the year at 37000 points and was second-period world champion Rei HIGUCHI (JPN) who has 45000 points. Atri now has come equal to Higuchu with 45000 points for his gold medal in Zagreb. However, he still remains second to Higuchi.

The third and fourth places, Narankhuu NARMANDAKH (MGL) and Arsen HARUTYUNYAN (ARM), have switched places. The latter has 41200 points while the former is at 37400 points from the earlier 31000 points for both.

Harutyunyan won the bronze medal in Alexandria worth 10200 points while Narmandakh was a silver medalist in Zagreb for 6200 points. Harutyunyan got more points since the number of participants in 61kg in Alexandria was much higher.

The only other mover in this weight class is Jahongirmirza TUROBOV (UZB) who is now at the seventh spot with 22500 points, up from 14300 points. He achieved this feat after an eighth-place finish in Alexandria.

Ulukbek ZHOLDOSHBEKOV (KGZ) broke into the top 10 after getting 7800 points at the Ibrahim Moustafa, replacing Islam DUDAEV (ALB) from the list.

65kg

La première place en 65 kg reste inchangée puisque le champion du monde Rahman AMOUZAD (IRI) est premier avec 45 000 points. Cependant, d'autres positions ont vu beaucoup de changement.

Le médaillé de bronze à Belgrade Ismail MUSUKAEV (HUN) est passé de la troisième place à la deuxième place avec 9000 points pour sa cinquième place à l'Open de Zagreb. Il compte désormais 40000 points pour remplacer John DIAKOMIHALIS (USA).

Sebastian RIVERA (PUR) est également passé de la cinquième à la troisième place après avoir obtenu 14050 points en deux tournois. Il a terminé 14e à Zagreb pour 5050 points mais a réussi à atteindre la cinquième place à Alexandrie pour remporter 9000 points.

Ces changements ont propulsé le médaillé d'argent de Belgrade Diakomihalis à la quatrième place et le médaillé de bronze Bajrang PUNIA (IND) à la cinquième place.

Joseph MCKENNA (USA) est entré dans le top 10 avec des médailles d'argent à Zagreb et à Alexandrie qui valaient 11400 points chacune. Son total de 22800 lui a suffi pour décrocher la septième place.

Vazgen TEVANYAN (ARM) était 11e avec 9000 points en début d'année mais a remporté la médaille d'or à Alexandrie pour obtenir 13000 points et remonter à la huitième place avec un total de 22000 points.

Agustin DESTRIBATS (ARG) est juste derrière avec 21880 points puisqu'il a terminé 10e à Zagreb pour 7480 points et a amélioré sa place pour la neuvième à Alexandrie pour 7800 points supplémentaires pour entrer dans le top 10.

Abbos RAKHMONOV (UZB) est passé de la 7e à la 10e place avec 18200 points.

Un autre champion du monde qui continue à garder la première place est Taishi NARIKUNI (JPN) qui a 45000 points. Mais le médaillé d'argent, Zain RETHERFORD (USA) a été remplacé par le médaillé de bronze Ernazar AKMATALIEV (KGZ) qui compte désormais 42000 points contre 37000 points pour Retherford. Il a obtenu 11000 points pour sa médaille d'or à Alexandrie.

Arrive en quatrième place Arman ANDREASYAN (ARM) classé cinquième à Belgrade avec 31520 points alors qu'il a terminé septième à Alexandrie avec 6520 points. Il a dépassé Zurabi IAKOBISHVILI (GEO) qui n'a plus couru depuis les Championnats du Monde.

Aucun autre changement n'a été observé dans cette catégorie de poids.

Kyle DAKE (USA) continue d'occuper la première place avec 45 000 points en 74 kg. Il a remporté les championnats du monde pour ces points et personne ne l'a défié jusqu'à présent.

Le médaillé de bronze Yones EMAMI (IRI) a bondi à la deuxième place avec sa médaille d'or à Zagreb avec 11400 points pour cet effort. Il compte désormais 42400 points, 325 de plus que Tajmuraz SALKAZANOV (SVK) qui a terminé 13ème à Zagreb.

La moitié inférieure a connu de nombreux changements puisque Frank CHAMIZO (ITA) est sorti du top 10 et la quatrième place est prise par Soner DEMIRTAS (TUR) tandis que Sagar JAGLAN (IND) arrive cinquième avec 30800 points.

Septième, Mitchell FINESILVER (ISR) a accumulé 18720 points avec sa médaille de bronze à Alexandrie et sa septième place à Zagreb. Suldkhuu OLONBAYAR (MGL) reste huitième malgré son amélioration de 17000 points à 18200 points.

Le seul autre changement est la place de numéro 10 qui est désormais reprise par Lawrence LAVALLEE (USA) avec 16800 points, en remplacement de Daichi TAKATANI (JPN).

Les deux premiers en 79 kg sont restés inchangés pour la deuxième année consécutive puisque Jordan BURROUGHS (USA) occupe la première place et Mohammad NOKHODI (IRI) est deuxième.

Au début de l'année, Bekzod ABDURAKHMONOV (UZB) était cinquième mais il a obtenu 10200 points dans la nouvelle année pour passer troisième avec 35200 points. Il a repoussé les médaillés de bronze mondiaux Arsalan BUDAZHAPOV (KGZ) et Vasyl MYKHAILOV (UKR) aux quatrième et cinquième places.

Arman AVAGYAN (ARM) a changé sa position de 10ème à 7ème avec une cinquième place à Alexandrie. Il a obtenu 9000 points pour cette performance.

L'autre entrant dans le top 10 est Avtandil KENTCHADZE (GEO) qui est au neuvième rang avec 19400 points, grâce à son argent à Zagreb et son or à Alexandrie. Comme il s'agissait de ses deux premières compétitions à 79 kg, il n'avait aucun point antérieur.

Hassan YAZDANI (IRI) a remporté la médaille d'or à l'Open de Zagreb et cela lui a suffi pour dépasser le champion du monde David TAYLOR (USA) pour la première place avec 48 000 points. The weight class continues to be headlined by world champion Zelimkhan ABAKAROV (ALB) who has 45000 points, all from the gold medal in Belgrade. He is followed by Thomas GILMAN (USA) with 37000 points for his silver.

Previously number three Zanabazar ZANDANBUD (MGL) has been pushed to fourth by Wanhao ZOU (CHN). He has 35555 points over Zandanbud's 31000 points. Zou collected 5480 points in Zagreb and 5075 points in Alexandria to jump to third.

Darian CRUZ (PUR) was the next big jumper who moved from ninth to sixth spot after his eighth-place finish in Zagreb for 6200 points and 5100 points for 12th finish in Egypt.

Beka BUJIASHVILI (GEO), who began the year at the 12th spot, has moved up to eighth with 23880 points, thanks to his bronze medal in Zagreb and 10th place finish in Alexandria. Aliabbas RZAZADE also accumulated 18400 points and has moved from 13th to ninth spot in the rankings.

Reza ATRI (IRI), a silver medalist from World Championships, began the year at 37000 points and was second-period world champion Rei HIGUCHI (JPN) who has 45000 points. Atri now has come equal to Higuchu with 45000 points for his gold medal in Zagreb. However, he still remains second to Higuchi.

Ulukbek ZHOLDOSHBEKOV (KGZ) broke into the top 10 after getting 7800 points at the Ibrahim Moustafa, replacing Islam DUDAEV (ALB) from the list.

The top spot at 65kg remains unchanged as world champion Rahman AMOUZAD (IRI) sits first with 45000 points. However, other positions have seen a lot of moving.

Bronze medalist in Belgrade Ismail MUSUKAEV (HUN) has jumped to the second spot from third with 9000 points for his fifth-place finish at Zagreb Open. He now has 40000 points to replace John DIAKOMIHALIS (USA).

Sebastian RIVERA (PUR) has also moved from fifth spot to third after getting 14050 points in two tournaments. He finished 14th in Zagreb for 5050 points but managed to reach fifth in Alexandria to claim 9000 points.

These changes have pushed Belgrade silver medalist Diakomihalis to fourth and bronze medalist Bajrang PUNIA (IND) to fifth.

Joseph MCKENNA (USA) has broken into the top 10 with silver medals in Zagreb and Alexandria which were worth 11400 points each. His total of 22800 was enough for him to get the seventh spot.

Vazgen TEVANYAN (ARM) was 11th with 9000 points at the start of the year but won the gold medal in Alexandria to get 13000 points and push his place to eighth with a total of 22000 points.

Coming at number nine is Agustin DESTRIBATS (ARG) who is just behind with 21880 points as he finished 10th in Zagreb for 7480 points and improve one spot to ninth in Alexandria for another 7800 points to break into the top-10.

Abbos RAKHMONOV (UZB) has slipped from seventh to 10th with 18200 points.

But the silver medalist, Zain RETHERFORD (USA) has been displaced by bronze medalist Ernazar AKMATALIEV (KGZ) who now has 42000 points to Retherford's 37000 points. He got 11000 points for his gold medal in Alexandria.

Coming in at four is the fifth placer in Belgrade Arman ANDREASYAN (ARM) with 31520 points as he finished seventh in Alexandria for 6520 points. He has overtaken Zurabi IAKOBISHVILI (GEO) who has not competed since the World Championships.

No other changes were seen in this weight class.

Kyle DAKE (USA) continues to be at the top spot with 45000 points at 74kg. He won the World Championships for those points and no one has challenged him thus far.

Bronze medalist Yones EMAMI (IRI) has jumped to second with his gold medal in Zagreb as he got 11400 points for that effort. He now has 42400 points, 325 more than Tajmuraz SALKAZANOV (SVK) who finished 13th in Zagreb.

The lower half has seen many changes as Frank CHAMIZO (ITA) is out of the top 10 and the fourth spot it taken by Soner DEMIRTAS (TUR) while Sagar JAGLAN (IND) comes in at fifth with 30800 points.

At number seven, Mitchell FINESILVER (ISR) has accumulated 18720 points with his bronze in Alexandria and seventh place finish in Zagreb. Suldkhuu OLONBAYAR (MGL) remains at eighth despite him improving from 17000 points to 18200 points.

The only other change is the number 10 spot which is now taken over by Lawrence LAVALLEE (USA) with 16800 points, replacing Daichi TAKATANI (JPN).

The top two at 79kg have remained changed for the second year running as Jordan BURROUGHS (USA) sits at the number one spot and Mohammad NOKHODI (IRI) is second.

At the start of the year, Bekzod ABDURAKHMONOV (UZB) was fifth but he has got 10200 points in the new year to jump to number three with 35200 points. He has pushed world bronze medalists Arsalan BUDAZHAPOV (KGZ) and Vasyl MYKHAILOV (UKR) to number four and five.

Arman AVAGYAN (ARM) has changed his position from 10th to seventh with a fifth place finish in Alexandria. He got 9000 points for that performance.

The other entrant into the top 10 is Avtandil KENTCHADZE (GEO) who is at number nine with 19400 points, thanks to his silver in Zagreb and gold in Alexandria. Since those were his first two competitions at 79kg, he did not have any previous points.

Hassan YAZDANI (IRI) won the gold medal at Zagreb Open and that was enough for him to overtake world champion David TAYLOR (USA) for the top spot with 48000 points. Taylor has 45000 points.
