About Alina

Alina HRUSHYNA (UKR) will be wrestling at her first Olympics in Tokyo after she qualified from the European Qualifiers. She reached the final at 57kg to earn the ticket. On her way to the final, she defeated Emese BARKA of Hungary and Johanna LINDORG of Sweden. Born in Hlobyne, Ukraine, she also has two medals at the European Championships -- a bronze in 2021 and a silver in 2020. She also has two medals at the U23 World Championships. She won a silver in Budapest in 2019 as she lost the 57kg final to Sae NANJO of Japan. In 2017, she finished with a bronze medal at the U23 Worlds.
